Is there a weight limit?

30 lb · dog only, lap-carrier option

This guide covers the lap-carrier option for dogs weighing 30 lb or less.

Heavier dogs have separate leash and space requirements.

Decisions before you book

Check whether a lap carrier is suitable for the trip

The small-pet option in section 36 requires a soft carrier on the passenger’s lap for the flight. This is not an under-seat arrangement. Confirm the carrier and the applicable weight category before using dimensions from another airline.

Advanced Air — contract, section 36

Book pet capacity and count the segments

The contract limits pet capacity and describes the pet charge per segment. Request the total for all legs and confirm the pet is included in the reservation. A larger-dog arrangement is separate from the lap-carrier option.
